What is LGREP?

The Local Governance and Rural Empowerment Project for Davao Region (LGREP) is a capacity improvement project, which targets the member Local Government Units (LGUs) of the Davao Integrated Development Program (DIDP). It aims to enhance the capacity of LGUs in delivering water supply services through the conduct of trainings on groundwater development, water facilities and community organization, and implementation of pilot projects. LGREP is a Technical Cooperation Project of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which is being implemented by DIDP starting July 2007 until June 2010.

  • Contract for the Construction Works of the Rural Water Supply Pilot Project in Davao Oriental Awarded new

    Last September 9, 2009, the contract for the construction works of the rural water supply pilot project located in Brgy. Baon, San Isidro, Davao Oriental was signed between JICA TCP and Allied Trade Resources Muli-Purpose Cooperative (or All Trade). All-Trade, which is based in Davao City, is also the construction contractor of the LGREP pilot project in Brgy. Waan, Davao City.

    The pre-construction meeting was held on September 15, 2009 at the Baon Barangay Hall. Commencement of the project is on September 22, 2009.
